The representatives of the SRC met with businessmen engaged in the production of public food and non-food products.

The SRC informs that the groups of businessmen were presented with the main risks of their spheres of activity, which refer to cases of abuse of tax planning, under-declaration of the lease of factory premises, under-declaration of sales turnover, in particular, the supply of goods without settlement documents.

Artur Harutyunyan, the head of the tax inspectorate-department for the current control of taxpayers of SRC, responding to the concern of business entities operating in the field of public catering that they are working at a loss under the conditions of COVID-19, stated that working with a special taxation system is their choice. The SRC implements such a policy, where the important thing is not the discovery of violations or the drafting of acts, but the preventive measures regarding the existing problems. Highlighting the problem of under-declaration of salaries, Harutyunyan called on taxpayers to bring their salaries into the field of real taxation, to fully declare the funds spent on work.

Vahan Charkhifalakyan, head of SRC’s investigation and operational intelligence department, emphasized that today SRC has such specialists who clearly know both the list of taxpayers, their behavior, and relevant legislation and risks. Touching especially on non-product transactions, Charkhifalakyan noted that businessmen should refrain from such impermissible actions, because in this case, the state often suffers a double loss. Such a violation is regulated by the Criminal Code and is a serious crime.

SRC specialists have also addressed the display and sale of some products without labels, the labeling of high-weight products with low-weight product labels, the unclear description of the product on the cash register, unjustified discounts and a number of other problems that make businessmen’s activities more risky today.
