A group of actors of the country are shooting for the movie ‘Nadan’ in Thanchi, Bandarban. Among them are several stars including actor Shyamal Mawla and his wife, actor Erfan Mridha Shiblu and actor Saif Khan.
After two consecutive days of working on the movie directed by Farhad Chowdhury, on Wednesday (April 3) afternoon, they were in dire straits. Hill terrorists attacked two branches of Sonali Bank and Krishi Bank in Thanchi upazila of Bandarban. There was a lot of gunfire. The entire ‘Nadan’ team was in a hotel right next to it. In this situation they were blocked there.
This was confirmed by several members of the shooting unit. They said 40-50 rounds hit their hotel. They were quite frightened.
On Thursday (April 4), actor Erfan Mridha Shiblu said, ‘Alhamdulillah! Finally safely entered dear Dhaka early this morning.’ Meanwhile, young model-actress Maha Shikder, wife of actor Shyamal Mawla wrote in her Facebook post, ‘We have reached home safely. Thanks and love to everyone who was worried about us.’
It is to be noted that yesterday at around 12:30 noon a robbery happened at two branches of Sonali Bank and Krishi Bank in Thanchi Upazila Market of Bandarban. After the robbery in the afternoon, 40 to 50 terrorists left Thanchi to shoot.
