The territory of Cyprus is fully covered by 5G

Cyprus is the first country in the EU that has managed to cover the entire territory with a 5G communication network. It is reported by TASS with reference to the telecommunications company CYTA.

“Technology [5G] and its benefits are now available throughout Cyprus, including the most remote areas,” the director of the company said. It is also noted that no other EU country can boast of such an achievement yet.

The Cypriot authorities are confident that the launch of this network throughout the country will help increase the digital maturity of the population, as well as make the economy more sustainable.

5G is the fifth generation of mobile communications. 5G technologies should provide higher bandwidth than 4G technologies.
