Tamil movie director M. Manikandan A few days ago, the National Film Award medal was stolen from his house. The thief apologized by returning the stolen medal. Times of India published this news.

According to this report, director Manikandan’s house is in Usilampatti, Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. The National Film Award medal was lost from this house. Again the thief has returned the medal to this house. The medal and a note are kept in a polythene bag.

The note reads – ‘Sir, forgive us. The fruits of your hard work are yours.’

Manikandan and his family live in Chennai. No one lives in Usilampatti. The director has a pet dog in this house. The builder’s friend feeds the dog regularly. Recently came to give food and found the door of the house open. Then went inside the house and saw that jewellery, money and valuables were missing. Later director Manikandan filed a case in Usilampatti police station. Then he realizes that his National Film Award medal has also been stolen.

Manikandan did not make many films in his production career. His first full length film was ‘Kaka Mutai’. It was released in 2015. Abhishek’s child actor won the National Film Award of India. After that he produced four more movies.

Manikandan’s latest released movie is ‘Kadisee Vivasayi’. This movie starring Vijay Sethupathi was released in the beginning of 2022. It won the National Film Award in the Feature Film category.
