Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called the US initiative to create a temporary port in Gaza the result of an international reaction. The Star newspaper writes about this, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.

At the same time, Fidan noted that many countries felt obliged to do something.

On March 8, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said that the United States is in contact with partners to create a temporary port in the Gaza Strip to deliver humanitarian aid, but its construction will take several weeks. He also stated that Washington has sent humanitarian aid worth up to $180 million to the Gaza Strip and continues to look for new ways to deliver it to the local population. The Pentagon spokesman added that in addition to land aid routes, the US military also organized the delivery of humanitarian supplies by air and plans to build a port for delivering goods by sea.
