The Republican Union of Employers of Armenia, which has been operating in Armenia since 2007 and represents more than 20 percent of large companies in Armenia, has expressed its concern about the risks to the economy arising from the actions of the state and law enforcement agencies of Armenia.

It is said in the official statement of the union.

“Staying true to its mission: “Promote the continuous improvement of the business environment, protect the interests of the business community and employers to lead to economic growth and well-being”, the ARC expresses its concern about the risks of some deviation from the fulfillment of the requirements of the RA Constitution within the framework of anti-corruption functions. That is, RA state power is exercised on the basis of the principle of separation and balancing of legislative, executive and judicial powers, the provision of which must always be accompanied by any action.”

The announcement states that the RA economy is not yet endowed with a large number of examples of successful entrepreneurship and it is important not to identify the history of the founders of enterprises with the reputation and activity of the enterprise in order not to harm a large number of beneficiaries.

“Ucom is widely recognized and known as a high-performance organization and in this regard, care should be taken to ensure that its day-to-day business operations and reputation are not harmed,” the statement said.

Let’s remind that on April 28, the chairman of the management board of Ucom company, Gurgen Khachatryan, announced that a demand was made at the level of high-ranking state officials to expropriate Ucom. The announcement was followed by the criminal prosecution against Gurgen Khachatryan, as well as deliberate attempts to harm the company, such as, for example, the actions of taking Ucom’s mobile network out of order by unknown persons on May 13.
