The United States has begun building a naval pier in Gaza, according to what the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced, stressing that it is a project aimed at facilitating the arrival of aid to the Gaza Strip.
Pentagon spokesman Major General Pat Ride told reporters: “I confirm that American warships have begun construction of the first stages of a temporary port and pier at sea.”
He added, “The pier is expected to be operational as of the beginning of May,” stressing that “everything is currently going according to plan.”
In the face of Zionist delays and obstacles in delivering humanitarian aid by land to the Gaza Strip, which is witnessing a humanitarian catastrophe, US President Joe Biden announced in early March the construction of a temporary port.
