The United States will launch spy satellites to monitor the spacecraft of Russia and China
The United States intends to launch satellites this summer to spy on Russian and Chinese spacecraft, Bloomberg reports.
According to the American side, Russian and Chinese satellites could potentially pose a threat to US orbital facilities – “disable or damage.”
The project is being developed by the space forces together with the National Directorate of Military Space Intelligence. The initiative has already received its name – Silent Barker.
The launch of a constellation of satellites using the Atlas V carrier rocket is planned “after July”. Satellites, according to experts, will rotate in orbit at a distance of 35.4 thousand km from the Earth.
