The United States has decided to provide an additional $1.80 billion in military aid to Ukraine to strengthen its military.
The package reportedly includes $1 billion worth of state-of-the-art ‘Patriot’ air defense missiles, weapons and ammunition including advanced bombs for fighter jets and $800 million in financing.
(Russia’s military offensive on Ukraine is approaching 11 months, and Russia has been conducting drone strikes on several Ukrainian cities.) The Patriot air defense missile is thought to be sufficient to repel Russian airstrikes.
