The US has introduced new restrictions on the sale of chip technologies and chip manufacturing equipment to China.
According to this, companies in the US will not be allowed to supply advanced chips and chip-making equipment to China without obtaining a special license.
The U.S. move to block China’s access to critical chip technology needed for everything from supercomputing to weapons manufacturing is seen as crippling China’s military modernization.
