The first festival of urban art, dance and electronic music in the Jungle, the Blanes Urban Festival (BUF!), strengthens its most provocative and festive part by incorporating Leticia Sabater on the poster The versatile artist will make her debut in the Girona regions closing the performances of the first night of the contest. It will be the night of October 12 at the Paseo del Mar stage, after the DPraims and Dugarry+Kanela concerts. Sabater, with more than 560,000 followers on Instagram, will offer a repertoire that will mix hits from the 80s and 90s with others from his own collection. Until October 14, the BUF! It will combine concerts by emerging and established artists with dance workshops, skateboarding exhibitions, film screenings and graffiti competitions.
The versatile artist will close the program of the first day, which will be on October 12. And precisely, the performance in Blanes, in retrospect, will also mean his debut in the Girona regions (where he had not yet performed). “With a career that spans from being a television presenter to a singer, Leticia Sabater has been for many years an icon in the world of entertainment and the LGTBI+ movement, always ready to surprise with her unique style,” continues the town hall.
Music, skateboarding, cinema and fireworks
The BUF! will create a space where urban music is the protagonist, offering a platform for both established and emerging artists and groups. Urban art, music, dance, cinema, skateboarding, rap and other artistic and cultural events will fill Blanes for three days, from October 12 to 14. All this, without forgetting the fireworks.
The central axis of the festival will be the three nights of concerts with free entry. Groups and artists such as Figa Flawas, dj Jordi Vilches -in place of Aldo Comas-, Lia Jensen, Kanela, DPraims, Dugarry and DJ Trapella will pass through the Paseo del Mar stage.
Another attraction of the BUF! will be the execution of two murals of large dimensions – initially, there were three – by two international urban artists. One of them is Saturno, the alter ego of Miguel Ángel Sánchez Martos, who painted the facade of the theater this summer; the other, is Bublegum.
The program of this first BUF! it also includes urban dance workshops, a song battle, skateboarding exhibitions, film screenings and a manga workshop. In addition, on Saturday the 14th, throughout the day there will be a graffiti contest in the Mas Enlaire neighborhood. Registrations to participate can be made until next Wednesday at midnight.
