The United States has no plans to expand security cooperation with Russia.

As Day.Az reported on Monday, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said this at a briefing today.

He noted that the Secretary of State issued a statement on Saturday expressing deep condolences on behalf of the United States in connection with the loss of life as a result of the attack on Crocus City Hall in Moscow.

“As in this case, if in the future we have intelligence, we will of course provide it to the Russian government, because we don’t want terrorist attacks to be successful anywhere in the world. We don’t want the Russian people to suffer.” , Miller said.

He noted that the United States has never had a problem with the Russian people.

“If we have intelligence about potential attacks, we will provide that information to the Russian government in the same way we provide it to the Iranian government, with whom we have deep differences. We don’t want people in Iran to suffer. We have no problem with the people of Iran or Russia.

But it is clear that we are not going to expand security cooperation, strengthen any security agreements or enter into any security agreements with the Russian government,” he added.

Let us note that on March 22 there was a shooting at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. The incident occurred before the start of the concert of the Picnic group.

The Russian Investigative Committee reports that the death toll in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall has risen to 139 people. The bodies of 68 victims have been identified.
