The USA believes that the best way to achieve the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is dialogue. this was announced by the spokesperson of the US State Department, Matthew Miller.
“We obviously support continued dialogue on that issue. We believe that this is the best way to achieve a lasting end to the conflict, and we will continue to pursue it,” Miller said at a press conference.
At the same time, the spokesperson of the Ministry of State refused to comment on the journalist’s question that the parties are trying to continue the negotiation process without mediators.
Despite the efforts of the Armenian side and international actors to achieve peace in the South Caucasus, the Azerbaijani side has undertaken another aggression against Armenia. On February 13, starting at 05:30, the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire from small arms in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the Inner Hand sector, as a result of which the Armenian side has 2 dead and wounded.
