As the US dollar hit a 20-year high, the Indian rupee suffered an all-time low.
This morning it fell 42 paise to Rs 80 per dollar at 38 paise. Bloomberg reports that Russia’s escalation of war with Ukraine and China-Taiwan tensions have had an additional impact.
The currencies of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore and China hit two-year lows, while the British pound fell to a 37-year low.
