Aragatsotn marz has a unique place in the rapidly developing solar energy sector in RA. It is the marz with the most sunny days of the republic, therefore it is the focus of special attention of investors, the Aragatsotn Marzpetaran reports.
In 2021, significant investments were made in the field of solar energy by both local and foreign business structures. In particular, solar photovoltaic power plants with a capacity of 90.1 MW were built in different settlements of Ashtarak, Talin, Katnaghbyur, Arevut enlarged communities.
As a result, instead of the planned 11 billion 650 thousand AMD, the volume of investments in this sector in 2021 reached 15 billion 200 thousand AMD. The mentioned investments were made by 6 LLC.
An agreement was established between the Arab “Mazdar” company and the RA government to build a 200 MW solar plant in the territory of Talin community, which implies an investment of about 320 million US dollars.
