The weekend leaves 16 injured and 1 dead, two traffic accidents were recorded in the provinces of Tungurahua and Chimborazo.
Chimborazo. On Sunday at 05:23 the ECU 911 telephone received a call to warn of a collision between a truck and a light vehicle, through the cell phone the person who contacted the 9-1-1 emergency line requested immediate help for the people who were injured on the Panamericana Sur highway at the height of Cemento Chimborazo.
Outstanding. After the frontal collision between the vehicle and the truck, a 30-year-old man was transferred to the health home in Riobamba with a reserved prognosis, some time later the death of the victim was confirmed. In addition, a minor who was also a victim of the accident was admitted to the General Teaching Hospital where he received a medical discharge.
Tungurahua. On the other hand, on Saturday afternoon the Ambato – Píllaro road was the scene of an accident in which a bus from the Trans – Penipe cooperative was involved, sliding down a slope of around 15 meters after losing track.
Important. The result of the incident was 15 people injured: Eight women of 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 20, 31 and 34 years of age; as well as seven men of one, two, 38, 40, 67, 72 and 73 years who received medical first aid and later transferred to different health centers in the Píllaro canton, so that they can receive specialized medical attention, depending on the injuries.
