The American billionaire and former owner of the “X-Twitter” platform, Elon Musk, revealed that “the platform is considering imposing financial fees on new users, in exchange for allowing them to publish content and interact with others’ posts.”

Musk said: “Financial fees for new “X” users are considered the only way to ensure confrontation of robotic accounts, and that the platform is free of any farms of robots for automated interaction with content.”

He added, “The financial fees will be paid by new account holders for a period of 3 months only, and after that period, use of the platform will become free.”

Technology websites reported leaks stating that “the financial compensation will guarantee the user the benefits of publishing content and interacting with others’ posts in various ways, such as liking marks, writing replies, reposting, as well as saving tweets.”

According to the leaks, “following users and viewing their posts without interacting with them are free benefits that do not require a subscription, and therefore the new user will be able to enjoy them, even if he does not want to pay the subscription for the first three months of entering the platform.”

The leaks indicated that, “If the subscription is not paid, the new user, after the 3-month period of creating his account on X, will be able to publish content and interact with other people’s posts for free normally.”

It is noteworthy that bloggers described the decision to impose fees as “opportunistic and annoying.”
