Kochi ∙ The police said that the young man committed suicide by slitting his throat on a busy road in the city center after attacking his friend. The deceased has been identified as Christopher, a resident of Thoppumpadi. He cut his own throat after killing his friend. Christopher’s attack injured his friend’s neck and is undergoing treatment at the Ernakulam General Hospital. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
The police indicate that Christopher who committed suicide and his friend who was attacked were working together. It is assumed that the reason for the attack was a dispute between them. Christopher hanged himself at Desabhimani Junction in Kalur. The incident that shook the nation was at 6.15 pm on Monday.
After being informed by the locals, the police arrived and took Christopher to the hospital, but he could not be saved. The body has been kept at Ernakulam General Hospital. Christopher had come under a post in front of Kalur market and injured himself before anyone could stop him. He collapsed immediately and died on the spot. The police received the video footage of the incident.
