As part of the first Fidan Hajiyeva International Opera Festival, the “Young Opera Stars” concert took place on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev, reports Day.Az.
The concert program featured masterpieces of Azerbaijani and world classics. Accompanied by the MEZZO chamber orchestra under the direction of People’s Artist, conductor Javanshir Guliyev, young talents of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, the Fidan Hajiyeva Music Vocal School and the People’s Artist Fidan Hajiyeva performed. One of the interesting moments of the evening was the participation of the National Conservatory Choir under the direction of Associate Professor of the Choral Department Leila Zalyeva, consisting of about 90 vocalists! The performances were applauded by the audience, and the participants were awarded honorary diplomas. The host of the evening was TV presenter Salekh Bagirov.
The first Fidan Hajiyeva International Opera Festival, organized by the People’s Artist Fidan Hajiyeva’s Vocal Music School with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the State Opera and Ballet Theater, runs from April 27 to May 3. Over the course of seven days, works by Azerbaijani classics and world authors will be presented at various concert venues in Baku and Ganja.
