Iphigenia is this tragic heroine, sacrificed by her father Agamemnon to allow him to win the war against the Trojans. Racine, Euripides seized on this episode of the Atreides family in Greek mythology. Around the Portuguese author and next director of the Avignon festival, Tiago Rodrigues, to rewrite history. Iphigenia also dies under his pen, but the difference this time is that she decides to sacrifice herself and draw a line under the flowing blood. Anne Théron staged this text. She premiered it last July in Avignon and is resuming it today at the Théâtre National de Strasbourg.
