The “Public Voice” faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders will not participate in the extraordinary session of the Yerevan Council of Elders to be held on February 7.
“An extraordinary meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders is scheduled for February 7. I, Vardan Ghukasyans, declare that the “Public Voice” fraction will not participate and will not provide a quorum for the holding of that extraordinary session. At the moment, there is blackmail and pressure on some of the members of the council to hold that meeting at any cost.
I declare with full responsibility that if any member of “Public Voice” gives in to these blackmails and participates in the scheduled extraordinary session, he will not only receive the last insult from me, but will also end his career on the same day. And let the authorities who speak the language of blackmail know very well that I will personally come after them very soon,” said Vardan Ghukasyan’s statement.
To remind, on February 7, an extraordinary session of the Yerevan Council of Elders will take place on the issue of depriving a group of opposition members of the Council of Elders of their mandates.
