The interview filmed in Buenos Aires with RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan was published on the air of the Argentinian TV “Todos Noticias” and online.
Minister Mirzoyan referred to the prospects of expanding cooperation between Armenia and Argentina, the discussions held in that direction during the official visit, as well as the security situation in the South Caucasus. In the context of the latter, it was mentioned about the ethnic cleansing carried out by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh, the invasions of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, the existing challenges and the efforts of the Republic of Armenia aimed at solving them.
“There are complications, there are challenges, of course, but we believe that it is possible to reach a peace treaty with Azerbaijan. On our part, we are making constructive efforts to find solutions. When we talk about signing a contract, there are important points that must be agreed upon. Among them is the mutual recognition of territorial integrity and demarcation of borders based on the 1991 On the declaration of Alma-Ata,” Mirzoyan noted.
Minister Mirzoyan also answered other questions related to the partnership with the European Union, NATO.
