There is a chance that tensions in the Middle East will not escalate. This was announced by the former foreign minister, Nadezhda Neynski, in the program “On Focus” on NOVA on the occasion of last night’s attack from Iran to Israel. “There is no escalation, the ladder has burned down – the confrontation between Iran and Israel has become clear,” she added.
According to the diplomat, from a military point of view, the midnight attack was a setback for Iran. “From a political point of view, there is a change in Iran’s strategy for the Middle East. The escalation of this regional conflict is rather a part of the larger geopolitical clash,” said Neinsky. According to the diplomat, it is right that Israel’s response should be very deliberate.
She drew an analogy between the Russia-Ukraine conflict and Iran’s attack on Israel. “There are several geopolitical factors that threaten the Western world,” she explained.
The former foreign minister does not think that the world will come to a real large-scale clash. “There will be regional conflicts that will be fueled so that certain geopolitical forces can reap benefits and restructure influences. It’s going to be a troubled world in the coming years,” added Neinski.
