DMK MP said he talked about Hinduism and Hindus. The police told the Madras High Court that Mukandra was not in a position to take action against A. Raza.

Former Union Minister and DMK Deputy General Secretary A. Raza’s comment on Hinduism and Hindu women caused controversy in a program held at Chennai’s Periyar Thital on September 6. In order to take action against A. Raza regarding this matter, J.J. Joseph, the founder of the party, has filed a petition in the Madras High Court.

Aadhil said that A. Raza’s speech has caused enmity between two religions and disturbed the religious harmony and that due to Raza’s speech, there has been a law and order problem in Tamil Nadu. He also said that a complaint has been lodged at the Vepperi police station to take action against Rasa, who caused unnecessary problems by talking about the unusual petition.

However, he alleged that the police department did not accept the complaint against Raza as he is in charge of the ruling party and demanded in the petition that a case should be registered against A. Raza.

The petition came up for hearing today before Justice Shivanjanam. The lawyer appearing for the police said that the Chennai Central Crime Branch investigated Joseph’s complaint and reported that there was no reason to take action against Raza.

Accepting this, the judge allowed the petitioner to approach the lower court and dismissed the case
