A weak earthquake of magnitude 4.2, according to preliminary reports, shook the vicinity of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Monday morning, the Bosnian news portal Klix.ba reported, citing data from the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The epicenter of the earthquake was 16 kilometers north of Sarajevo, and the quake’s core was located at a depth of six kilometers. The earthquake was also felt in the capital and the surrounding settlements at 9:20 a.m. There have been no reports of major damage so far.

According to local reports, the quake lasted a few seconds.
