There will be a lot on offer in the shoe fashion sector in the new year. The leading luxury labels are introducing huge sneakers, hiking sandals, worn pumps and foot-hugging sock hybrids in their 2024 collections. The heel for men is also becoming more and more popular – and it is getting higher, just like the bootlegs for women.
A lot of things are portable, but some are barely. It remains to be seen which models actually make it onto the road. Here are the seven dominant shoe trends for the coming months:
1. XL-Sneaker from Balenciaga
With the never-ending oversize trend, shoes have also become larger. Balenciaga is a pioneer here, as the brand has already created the basis for oversized footwear with its own oversized trousers. 2. Pumps im Heavy-used-Look
Many designers have already worked on pumps. The current trend is towards simple, very classic models with and without straps. What’s new is that the high heels are now also being combined with streetwear. 5. Lace-up shoes for a college look
With the return of the preppy or collegiate look, loafers have sold like hotcakes in recent seasons. Because fashion people quickly get bored even when they are close to the ground, the lace-up shoe is back in a modern version after the slipper. 6. Long shaft boots
