‘The Conqueror’, an adaptation of ETB’s flagship, which even the presenter, Julian Iantzi, inherited, has not exceeded 11% average audience share since it premiered two weeks ago. An especially expensive expensive format that is not meeting RTVE’s expectations.
In response to a request from the ‘TVienes’ website to the Transparency portal, RTVE revealed this Monday when Raquel Sánchez Silva and Julian Iantzi get paid for presenting ‘El Conquistador’. Of course, taking into account that the Extremaduran’s remuneration is missing for the debates held outside the main program and that the figures are subject to the settlement that is carried out at the end of production, TVienes warns that the final amount may vary.
According to information from RTVE, Raquel Sánchez Silva’s salary as host of ‘El Conquistador’ is 98,000 euros for the two months of recordings in the Dominican Republic. Julian Iantzi, on the other hand, earns significantly less: 68,282.64 euros, 30,000 less than his partner.
A team of 250 people recorded the most extreme contest on television in the Haitises Natural Park, in the Dominican Republic, last summer.
The captains
In addition to Raquel and Julian, the ‘El Conquiscador’ team is made up of captains Joana Pastrana, Patxi Salinas and Cesc Escolà, whose salary has not been disclosed. The creators of the format, which has accumulated 19 seasons on ETB, are Patxi Alonso and Joxan Goñi, who also serve as executive producer and director, respectively.
In the four programs broadcast to date on La 1, the adventurous reality show averages a 10.9% share and 965,000 viewers. Its delivery with the best data was the second, issued on Tuesday night, while the most discreet was the fourth, with 9% on Monday. As for ‘Debate’, after its weak premiere in prime time (4.7% and 394,000) it is now broadcast at dawn, where on September 25 it gained 7.6% and 224,000 followers.
