Oscar winner Jon Voight and actress Megan Fox are among the recipients of Hollywood’s ridiculous awards. The awarders of the “Golden Raspberries” or “Razzies” (short for “Raspberry”) announced the “winners” of the not-quite-serious awards in a video message.
Voight, father of Hollywood star Angelina Jolie, won the Worst Actor award for his performance in the action film Mercy. There were two “Razzies” for Fox: for her leading role in “Johnny & Clyde” and for her supporting role in “The Expendables 4”. Supporting actor Sylvester Stallone also won a Golden Raspberry for “The Expendables 4”.
This film is the big “winner”
But the big winner is “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” with five shameful awards, including in the top category as worst film, for direction and screenplay. The copyright on the Disney comic character Winnie the Pooh recently expired. The horror film “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” was then released in 2023.
The “Razzies” were created in 1980 by the cineaste John Wilson as a counterpart to the glamorous Oscars. According to the group, more than 1,100 members vote in the United States and other countries. The “winners” are traditionally announced the day before the Oscar gala.
