The year 2023 was not easy for Armenia and the Armenian people, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said at the briefing.
“We see attempts by foreign forces to involve Yerevan in more dangerous geopolitical games. We see how the West is absolutely indifferent to the fate of the Armenian population, the people of Armenia. They use the feelings, historical memory, pain and suffering of the Armenian people exclusively for their own interests,” he said.
According to Zakharova, Russia is ready to contribute to the peace, stability and prosperity of Armenia in every possible way.
“This is really extremely important for us,” emphasized the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“We see good prospects for the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku based on the tripartite agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020-2022,” the diplomat said.
He also noted that there are prerequisites for establishing relations between Armenia and Turkey.
