Through social networks, a complaint is made known about a situation of police violence against a young man who was shot in the back by a police officer.

The Cuban was identified as Dionis Alberto Giménez Yera, from Curamagüey in Santa Clara.

Activist Niover Licea commented on this case on his Instagram page, based on information published in a Facebook group where they claim that the young man was shot in the back by a police officer who supposedly ordered him to stop and he did not stop.

The young man was transferred to the provincial hospital at 11 in the morning and was not treated until late at night, so he was waiting all that time with a bullet lodged in his body.

The information specifies that the young Cuban also had respiratory arrest and internal bleeding in the midst of what he was going through as a victim of police brutality.

Cases like these have been reported on other occasions in Cuba, in which the communist police abuse their power and please the Cubans themselves, instead of defending them when necessary.

The young man from Santa Clara remains in delicate condition with a confidential diagnosis and it was learned that he is being guarded by black berets.

The Cubans and relatives of the young man remain outraged at such a situation that endangered the Cuban’s life, without knowing a specific reason why this situation of abuse and authority and violence against a citizen occurred.

For this reason, justice is demanded for the young man from Villa Clara, Dionis Alberto Giménez Yera.
