They give credits to 25 street vendors from Tula

The state government gave loans to 25 street vendors from Tula, who were affected by the flood last September.

According to Patricia Badillo Bárcenas, president of the Union of Tianguistas of the demarcation (UTT), the loans were authorized on April 8 by the head of the Government Secretariat, Simón Vargas Aguilar, through the Hidalgo Institute of Business Competitiveness (IHCE).

The leader explained that the beneficiaries were summoned to the Tula-Tepeji Technological University to sign the promissory notes and be able to collect the credits, which happened more than a month ago.

Badillo Bárcenas asserted that a total of 266 merchants received state economic support, but 25 belong to his organization.

The leader indicated that the IHCE gave a grace period of three months to start paying each of their loans and these were without interest.

Prior to the authorization of the financial aid, the union representative affirmed that the authorities had to be pressured through two demonstrations in Pachuca.

On December 22, 2021, the IHCE had several people sign promissory notes, whose businesses were damaged, but the loans were never authorized.

However, these documents were destroyed in front of the merchants, who received the replacement of the tickets, which were paid five days later.

Established businesses and flea market vendors will have three months to liquidate what was granted to them by the state government.
