Azerbaijan did not return the Lebanese-Armenian Vigen Euljekjian to the Armenian side.
“Perhaps he is a Diaspora Armenian, that’s why he didn’t return. They played something on our heads, I don’t know,” Maral Najarian told 24 news.am.
Maral Najarian was captured with Vigen Euljekyan after the tripartite announcement in November 2020, Berdzor and Shushi went after the things. Maral spent four months in captivity and was returned to Lebanon. And Vigen Euljekyan was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Baku court.
Maral Najarian noted that Vigen’s name was previously on the list, but the list was changed and another prisoner was returned.
To the question: Are they going to turn to international structures or the RA government to understand what was the reason why it was not returned? Maral Najarian responded: Is there an RA government? “They will bring a reason.”
Maral Najarian also informed that both Vigen Euljekjian and his family are in a bad condition.
