Yesterday it became known that Narine Hayrapetyan, a member of the “Mother Armenia” faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, was kidnapped.
He reported to the police that on January 15, around 09:30, persons unknown to him from Totovents Street forced him into an unknown car, blindfolded him, and then took him to an unknown place, where he met 60-65 with a year old man.
In a conversation with Aysor.am, the leader of the “Mother Armenia” bloc, Andranik Tevanyan, said that Hayrapetyan was intimidated and threatened. At the moment, he is out of touch, according to our information, he is not in Armenia.”
To the question: does Mrs. Hayrapetyan have any doubts about who they might be, Tevanyan said: “No, she does not know those people she communicated with.” We request the law enforcement to reveal the case as soon as possible so that the public is aware, because this is a non-standard situation regarding a member of the council. We last communicated with him on Friday.”
It should be noted that Gor Abrahamyan, press spokesman of the Central Committee, informed Aysor.am that criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the incident.
