Thiruvananthapuram: (KVARTHA) March ration can be purchased in April as well. There will be an opportunity till April 6. This has been informed by the Food and Public Distribution Commissioner. The decision will bring relief to lakhs of people.
Ration distribution in the month of March was not complete due to malfunction in the e POS machine. 74% people bought ration till the evening of March 30. The mustering process and frequent technical glitches significantly affected the ration distribution this month.
Ration distribution for April will start at 8. Ration shops will be closed on Monday, April 1. This is because the annual counting is going on at NFSA godowns from Monday.
