Canadian artist Mac DeMarco does nothing like everyone else. Without warning, the troublemaker published on April 21, 2023 an album called One Wayne G, which has no less than 199 tracks, for a total duration of around 9h30 of music. All these pieces, sung or only instrumental, were written between 2018 and 2023 and were named with their recording date, sometimes embellished with a title.
One Wayne G is the sixth studio album by Mac DeMarco, author of the song Chamber of Reflection and listened to by some 17 million listeners per month on the Spofity platform. The title of this surprise disc would be a tribute to Wayne Gretzky, ice hockey player in Edmonton, birthplace of the crazy Canadian. In January 2023, he released an entirely instrumental disc called Five Easy Hot Dogs. Mac DeMarco will be in concert in Paris for three dates at the Cabaret Sauvage, on July 24, 25 and 26.
