How did it start?
Dixon was started in the year 1993 by Sunil Vachani. Initially his company used to make only color TVs. However, later the company started expanding its legs and soon started working on manufacturing air conditioners, microwave ovens and DVD players. Everyone’s attention came to Dixon when the company started making smartphones for Chinese companies.
In the year 2018, Dixon entered into a partnership with Xiomi and started manufacturing LED TVs for the company. These TVs got different recognition in the market. Today Dixon has made smartphones for brands ranging from Infinix, Tecno and iTel to Samsung. Apart from this, Dixon has also manufactured smartphones for Xiaomi, Motorola and Jio.
The company’s plant is in Noida-
The company has a big manufacturing plant in Noida. The company has a capacity of 30 million smartphones and 50 million feature phones from four plants in India. The company also manufactures Motorola smartphones and supplies them to America. Not only this, Dixon has also exported smartphones to many other developed countries. The company has also established its offices in many countries of the Middle East.
