This is the first time that this school mic is being used. When I used to see everyone talking on stage, I wanted to come and speak in front of this mic someday. It has been 16 years since I left this school. When I came here, many memories came to my mind. This auditorium is still there. All my teachers are still beautiful. I had a good time here. I was a below average student who did not study much. He was a scrawny kid who failed most of his exams, a back-bunker. The teachers had a headache because of me. I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. Come to school, study, enjoy with everyone, be happy and leave. By the time it was ten passes from here I had very few marks. I remember talking to the teachers that day when my father came to buy TC. My father asked me why you didn’t study even though he provided all the facilities for you to study. To tell the truth, I left this school with tears in my eyes. But then I took a vow to myself that if I ever set foot in this school again, it would be only as a guest. That big wish of mine has come true now. I struggled for 16 years to reach that desire. Worked hard.
A few days ago, Robin shared the joy of being a guest at the MGM Model School. ‘This is the promise I made to myself sixteen years ago. I had to leave this school due to low marks, and I am going to go to the same school as the chief guest in the Onam celebration program to be held on September 2. There is no other secret to success. The only way is to learn from defeats, work hard and prepare’, Robin noted at the time.
