Last Tuesday’s evening at the Kursaal in Donostia was full of emotion. DV’s Christmas concert once again dazzled attendees and left moments that remain in the retina for a long time. One of those moments, furthermore, was totally unexpected because it was so special and brilliant.
Pianist Javier Pérez de Azpeitia sat down at the piano and a melody well known to many of the spectators began to play. Pérez de Azpeitia paid his particular tribute to Shane MacGowan, the recently deceased leader of The Pogues. At the piano, he moved with the famous ‘Fariytale of New York’, in one of the last moments of the concert.
