jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) has prepared steps to handle backflow for Idul Fitri 1445H/2024 by implementing traffic engineering on toll and arterial roads.

This strategy was conveyed by the Head of the National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General Aan Suhanan, at KM 72 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Thursday (11/4).

“We will carry out traffic engineering when the flow reverses,” said Aan.

He explained that the implementation of reverse flow traffic engineering was in accordance with the schedule stated in the Joint Decree (SKB). The return flow will be implemented from April 12 to 14.

“We will implement one way from KM 414 in Kalikangkung to KM 72 in Jakarta-Cikampek,” he said.

Korlantas Polri has again implemented a contraflow system from KM 72 Cipali Toll Road to KM 47 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

“After one way, we will carry out contraflow until
with KM 47,” he said.

The former Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri explained that he was considering continuing to implement reverse flow contraflow, after carrying out an evaluation after the traffic accident at KM 58 during confraflow, which killed 12 people.

This is the strategy of the National Police Traffic Corps to face the peak of Eid backflow, especially on toll roads. Travelers need to know this.
