Actor and presenter Shahriar Nazim Joy has been in the news throughout the year. He wrote a letter to the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2014 asking for a government plot. It was then that the letter came to light. Joy has come under fire as the letter addressed to Sheikh Hasina as ‘mother’ has become viral in the net world.

‘This letter falls into flattery, for which I deserve shame’

Joy opened up about the matter in the face of criticism. The actor said, “Light will come” did not get in the group. YouTubers are not caught in the conspiracy. So why leave me? A letter in 2014 went viral 14 times! Many have taken land from the former government. Those plots are in section 13. This government has already announced cancellation of all plots. Still this letter is being posted on Facebook by its own people, making my number viral and harassing me socially.’

Admitting that he was flattered in the letter, Joy said, ‘Of course this letter falls into flattery. I deserve shame for that. But do not pay too much punishment! Allah will not forgive you either. We all understand that God exists and that sins are punished in due time, right? Be calm without spreading hate. Everyone is good together. Let’s all correct each other’s mistakes.’

Shahriar Nazim Joy is now more known as a presenter than an actor. He is currently hosting Channel I’s ‘300 Seconds’ show.
