Travis Head took Scotland by storm in the first match. Head out first ball in the second match. Joss Inglis took the responsibility of head.
In Edinburgh, the Australian wicket-keeper batsman scored the fastest century for his country in T20Is. It also brought him his second personal century. After raining four sixes, he touched the magical figure of three and gave Australia a capital of 196 runs for 4 wickets.
Chasing that target, Scotland collapsed for 126 runs. Australia confirmed the series with a match in hand with a huge victory of 70 runs.
Inglis scored 103 runs off 49 balls with 7 fours and a six. Inglis got his fifty off 20 balls. He played 23 more balls to score the next fifty. He broke Aaron Finch’s record by reaching 43-ball century. Earlier, Finch scored a century against England in 2013 off 47 balls. Glenn Maxwell also has a 47-ball century.
After losing the two opening batsmen for 23 runs, English made a partnership of 92 runs with Cameron Green. Cameron scored 36 runs off 29 balls with 2 fours and a six. Besides, Marcos Stoinis scored 20 runs off 20 balls. 17 runs off 7 balls from Tim David’s bat. Brad Crowe took 3 wickets for 37 runs with the ball for Scotland.
In pursuit of a huge target, Scotland’s batting has not been good at all. None other than Brendan McMullen could score more than 20 runs. McMullen scored 59 off 42 balls. The second highest 19 runs came from the bat of George Munsi. The rest could not even make it to double digits.
