Thoma Bravo buys Anaplan software developer for $10.7 billion

American investment company Thoma Bravo has announced the acquisition of Anaplan, a developer of cloud-based business planning software. The deal will amount to $10.7 billion, which is 46% higher than the average estimate of the company’s market capitalization based on the results of five days of trading last week. The deal will be financed in cash. Anaplan shareholders will receive $66 for each of their shares.

Anaplan was founded in 2006 and is based in San Francisco. It has about 1.9 thousand customers, including Coca-Cola and Shell.

Thoma Bravo is one of the largest private equity firms in the US with a portfolio valued at over $103 billion as of December 31, 2021.
