Dubai: Another exciting news for nursing students and graduates in India – nurses can get a job in the UAE without any work experience. Until now, to get a job in the UAE, one had to pass two years of practical experience and a written examination of the health department. The new decision, which may change the lives of many young nurses, including Malayalis, has been added to the Professional Qualification section (page 70) of the Department of Health website. Henceforth those who have graduation certificate from any recognized university in India and registration of Nursing Council and good standing can appear for UAE Department of Health exam. Those who pass this can also get jobs in various hospitals in UAE depending on the vacancy.
Tbin Mathew Manorama, a native of Kottayam Athirampuzha, who works as a data flow consultant in Abu Dhabi, told Online that there is going to be a revolutionary change to the situation where people study very hard and are unable to find a job in the country, and are forced to join jobs for low wages and work as trainee nurses. According to the website, Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist can also write the exam in UAE without any work experience.
After Golden Visa…
Manorama Online was the first to report that the authorities announced in April that a 10-year golden visa would be issued in honor of nurses and other technical workers in the health sector, who are fighting against the Covid-19 at the cost of their own lives.
