  • A Marioupolthe Russian Defense Ministry declared a ceasefire at the Azovstal plant: « The armed forces will open a humanitarian corridor from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Moscow [de 7 heures à 17 heures, heure française] on May 5, 6 and 7 from the site of the Azovstal Metallurgical Plant to evacuate civilians. During this period, the Russian armed forces and the units of the Donetsk People’s Republic [unilatéralement proclamée par les séparatistes prorusses] will cease fire and hostilities unilaterally”, the ministry continued in a statement. Yesterday, Wednesday May 4, 344 people, mainly women and children, were evacuated to Mariupol announced the president, Volodymyr Zelensky. Several hundred soldiers and civilians are still in the Azovstal underground.
  • More than 600 dead in the Mariupol theater on March 16. An investigation by the Associated Press concludes that the death toll from the airstrike stands at 600, double what was originally estimated.
