Three suspects were arrested by Shin Bet and the police after posting a video that indicated their intention to harm demonstrators at a protest against the legal reform in Jerusalem. One of the suspects was in possession of a weapon when they were arrested during a demonstration of support for the reform. The suspects were found with eggs and a gun and were recorded saying they were “on our way to Jerusalem to kill you”. The suspects, two 25-year-olds and a 17-year-old, were transferred for questioning and were revealed to have attended in favor of the legal reform with the intention of harming the opposing protesters. The suspects were brought to the Peace Court in Jerusalem and were released to house arrest with additional restrictive conditions. The police filed an appeal against this decision. The security forces will continue to act against any threats or intentions of violence towards demonstrators, journalists, police officers, and others.

The arrested suspects, a 17-year-old boy and two 25-year-old youths, residents of Yavneh and the surrounding area, were transferred for questioning at the operational investigation headquarters of the Jerusalem District, which is currently operating. The investigation by the police reveals that the suspects came to participate in a demonstration in favor of the legal reform, with the intention of harming the protesters against the legal reform.
Today the suspects were brought to the Peace Court in Jerusalem with a request to extend their detention. The Court decided to release them to house arrest and additional restrictive conditions and the police filed an appeal against this decision and delaying its execution. The security forces will continue to act resolutely against violence, threats and intentions to harm demonstrators, journalists, police officers and any other person.
