What happened to Om Fahad? She was the victim of a brutal attack in Iraq

Om Fahad went toshot to death in a brutal attack perpetrated by a motorcyclist while he was in his vehicle in front of his home in BagdadIrak.

According to videos circulating on social networks, the influencer was in the pilot seat in a black van that was parked.

Shortly after, a motorcyclist arrived, parked near a hallway and made sure that the victim was alone to carry out the attack.

It was at that moment that he shot Om Fahad, then boarded his motorcycle and fled the scene.

According to local media, the Joint Intelligence and Crime Fighting Force arrested the Tiktoker killer in the region of Nairiyah and Kiyara, Southeast of Baghdad.

Om Fahad was sentenced to prison in February 2023 for her “indecent content”

Om Fahad was sentenced to six months in prison in February 2023 under the argument that “the publication of several videos with indecent intentions and that violate modesty and public customs.”

In that same year, the Iraqi government published a platform where users could report social media content, for which dozens of influencers were sentenced to prison or to apologize publicly.

However, most of these were nothing more than videos humorous or satirical in tone, ifI find women the most punished for their type of content, just like what happened with Tara Fares, murdered in 2018.
