Westminster Titans Dominate Geneva in PAC North division Victory, Prioritize Student-Athlete Mental Health

Westminster College’s volleyball team secured a decisive three-set victory over Geneva College on Wednesday night, improving their season record to 13-9 and their Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) North division record to 6-5.The Titans demonstrated strong performance across the board,culminating in a commanding 25-7 win in the final set.

Titans’ Offensive Powerhouse Shines

The westminster offence was lead by senior Life Trent, who delivered 11 kills on 27 attacks with a .333 hitting percentage. This marked Trent’s fourth match this season achieving double-digit kills, solidifying her role as a key offensive player. Contributing substantially to the attack were seniors Rachel LaSalvia, Charlotte Burgan, and Jamie Robertson, each recording five kills.

Freshman Kylie Anthony also impressed,hitting.400 with nine kills on 20 attacks, alongside 14 digs and an ace. Senior Shelby Rambo added seven kills, with six coming in the second set, and three blocks.

Senior Angie Nardone orchestrated the Titan’s offense with a stellar performance, posting her fourth double-double of the season with 22 assists and 14 digs.She also contributed a service ace. Junior Anna-Kate Davis supported the setting efforts with 12 assists, seven digs, and an ace.

The Titans’ dominance was evident in their set scores of 25-20 and 25-19 in the first two sets, respectively. They then surged to an 8-1 lead in the third set, ultimately sealing the match with a 25-7 victory. Geneva’s Rachel Baird led her team with eight kills.
