From 9 to 12 September the eighth Communication Festival, conceived with Umberto Eco and directed by Rosangela Bonsignorio and Danco Singer. Award to Vinicio Capossela

We need to test ourselves, (…) listen to opinions, slowly change the way we see, think and write …, said Umberto Eco about Knowledge, theme chosen for the eighth edition of the Communication Festival of Camogli (Genoa), which was conceived with Eco himself.

The review, directed by Rosangela Bonsignorio and Danco Singer, returns from 9 to 12 September with over 120 guests and 90 meetings, with excursions, workshops, shows (all in attendance). Crossed by the red thread of the Knowledge which, Singer points out, means curiosity, travel, study, investigation. A theme that also concerns the skills, professions and society of the future, and that the protagonists of the cultural, economic and entrepreneurial world at the Festival will help us to explore.

Massimo Cacciari will open on Thursday 9th
with a lectio on the binomial Knowledge and conscience. 700 years after his death, the space dedicated to Dante will be large. On the 9th, Aldo Cazzullo presents The place of men. Dante in Purgatorio where we will all go (from 7 September for Mondadori), a new stage in the journey that began with the volume To see the stars again. Sunday 12th, Claver Gold and Murubutu propose a Dante rap, with songs from their album Infernvm, entirely dedicated toInferno Dante. References to the poet will also be in The Comedia. A journey among saints, sinners, heroes and mythological creatures, show (staged on the 12th) specially prepared for the Festival by the historian Alessandro Barbero and Vinicio Capossela. The musician will receive the Communication Award for the ability to express true humanity, noisy and colorful, with his art of omnivorous minstrel, says the motivation.

Also this year there will be press reviews in the morning, the breakfasts with the author, the aperitifs of the Festival. And the shows: Valerio Lundini with the new show The mansplaining explained to my daughter (the 9th); Monica Guerritore on femicide (10). While Milo Manara brings the exhibition to Camogli Communicate by drawing, which collects the works of the master of comics.

We will also talk about justice and prisons: in a confrontation between Vincenzo Roppo and Luciano Violante (11th) and in a round table with Gherardo Colombo, Mauro Palma, Luigi Ferrarella and Marco Travaglio (12th). The knowledge / economy combination will instead be addressed, among others, by Antonio Baravalle, CEO of Lavazza, Gabriele Galateri di Genola, president of Assicurazioni Generali, and Luigi Ferraris, head of Italian FS, in a meeting with Ferruccio de Bortoli ( 12); and by Evelina Christillin, Carlo Cottarelli and Oscar Farinetti with Federico Fubini (10).
