Today, Tuesday, Russia will witness the inauguration ceremony of Vladimir Putin as president of the country for the fifth time, and the inauguration ceremony and taking of the constitutional oath will be held in the Kremlin.

Putin took this oath four times. In 2000, 52.94% of good Russians voted for the 47-year-old Putin, in 2004 – 71.31%, in 2012 – 63.6%, and in 2018 – 76.7%.

As Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov reported, today’s inauguration ceremony will take place according to the already approved protocol, but with “certain differences” and Peskov has not yet revealed any of them.

According to the traditional scenario, the president heads to the ceremony from his office to the Grand Kremlin Palace, passes through the red balcony of the palace to Cathedral Square, where the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces reviews the passage of the presidential regiment, and the moment Putin arrives at the palace, everything must be ready: the guests are in their seats. Members of the honor guard will bring the national flag of Russia and the banner of the President of the Russian Federation (a double-headed eagle on a tricolor background), then the emblem of the head of state and the copy of the constitution that Putin will place his hand on while taking the oath.

The list of guests in the Kremlin includes: representatives of the executive, legislative and judicial authorities: the Government of Russia, the Federation Council, the State Duma, the Presidential Administration, governors of federal entities, representatives of major religions, heads of diplomatic missions, many public figures, as well as many journalists and others.

In 2018, the inauguration event lasted about 48 minutes, including the parade of the Presidential Regiment.
