jpnn.comJAKARTA – The House of Representatives (DPR) has ratified the Revised Law (RUU) on Amendments to Law Number 39 of 2008 on State Ministries into a state regulation.

This was revealed when the Indonesian House of Representatives held the Seventh Plenary Meeting of Session I for 2024-2025 at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (19/9).

Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus, who led the meeting, asked legislators about the willingness of the State Ministry Bill to be passed into regulation.

“Can it be approved to be passed into law?” Lodewijk asked on Thursday.

The legislators present at the meeting then expressed their agreement, then Lodewijk banged the gavel as a sign that the Ministerial Bill was passed into law.

Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Legislation Body, Achmad Baidowi or Awiek, in an earlier meeting explained the changes in the State Ministry Bill.

Awiek mentioned that one of the changes is that the President of the Republic of Indonesia will be able to form ministries as needed.
